A set of four films to explain the importance of farming in Britain during war-time, and howm optimising production would lead to less reliance on Atlantic convoys. The programme starts in Winter on the Farm in 1941, then Spring on the Farm, Summer on the Farm and finishes with the harvest festival in The Crown of the Year.
